Cheri Hjerstedt (Realtor)

My name is Cheri. I’m a seasoned residential real estate professional with Mode Realty. My team is Heart and Homes Real Estate: Where Heart and Homes Meet. It’s not just a slogan. It’s how I approach each transaction!

Buying or selling a home is like fitting all the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle together in just the right way within a specific timeframe.  This can be challenging, but when one of the puzzle pieces is accommodating special needs–it can seem daunting.  Growing up with a brother with special needs, I was acutely aware of the challenges our family faced. My mission became clear: to enhance his life and support others like us.

Following our mother’s passing, my brother came to live with my family, reinforcing my dedication to easing the home search process for clients facing similar challenges. I approach real estate with a compassionate, hands-on approach, understanding that a house is more than mere bricks and mortar—it’s a home where families thrive. Together, we’ll navigate the journey to homeownership, weather the inevitable bumps along the way, and find THE home for your unique family!

As a Realtor®, I advocate for accessibility, awareness, and understanding. I’ve earned At Home with Diversity and Pricing Strategy Advisor certifications equipping me to better serve clients’ needs. I’ve chaired the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee for RASCW and actively contribute to the Home Buyer’s Round Table Education Committee, supporting first-time homebuyers and those with exceptional needs.

Prior to real estate, I spent 30 years teaching Spanish and English at the middle and high school levels. My diverse background includes roles as a Bilingual Police Clerk, Spanish Translator, Migrant ESL Educator, stay-at-home Grammy, and assistant manager of an outdoor movie theater. These experiences have shaped me into the compassionate professional I am today.

My life’s journey has prepared me to assist families with “special” housing needs, and I’m eager to earn your trust as we embark on this important chapter together!

Patrick Hereley (Realtor)

Greetings!  My name is Patrick Hereley and I am a REALTOR with First Weber REALTORS in Fitchburg.  After a successful career in banking I decided to make a change and a few years ago I moved into Real Estate.  It was a great decision and I truly enjoy helping people find their perfect home.  As a REALTOR, I know that buying or selling a home can be an emotional and stressful experience.  I feel it is my job to make it as easy as possible for my clients.  By getting to know my clients and understanding their specific needs and wants, I can make their buying or selling journey seamless, positive and enjoyable.

I am involved in several outdoor and family-centered activities.  Most of my weekends and free time are spent cheering on my two teenage daughters as they participate in sports.  It makes me happy to see the positive and supportive teammates my daughters have become and the amount of personal growth they have experienced.  As a family, we enjoy camping, boating, fishing, skiing and traveling around the country to see and do as much as we can.

As a REALTOR and an active community member, I have a passion for making a positive impact on those around me.  I have a deep commitment to service and have become a trusted figure in the area.  I am on the board of directors for the Wisconsin Academy for Graduate Service Dogs and I volunteer at community events and help at local organizations and businesses whenever possible.  My commitment to community extends beyond my personal interests.  I am eager to contribute my skills and experience to meaningful causes and I am excited to learn more about you and help you on your journey.
